Welcome

Thank you for your interest in receiving Comfort Clues, which is sort of an extension of my book. I do my best to come up with easy, painless ways to tweak your life — simple ways to gradually modify old habits — so that it will be less frazzled. The goal is to turn your life into a calmer and more enjoyable existence... not to mention healthier. Comfort Clues, my own little brand of therapy, offer simple ideas you may not have thought of before. Nothing radical.

Join the growing number of us who are tired of going through our days with too much stress and anxiety. Change is hard, but getting a small reminder — only one paragraph — every two weeks will make the transition easier. Sometimes we just need a wake-up call. Below is the last clue I sent. Follow the link to “Past Comforts” if you want to read more. Then tell us where to send them below.

Comfort Clue:

Email is so easy and convenient. I loathe phone tag and realized years ago that no one was ever at home when I called. They were either at work or filling their off-time with activities they didn't have time for because they were at work. Communicating via my computer meant never having to play that game again. Sadly, I'm now so dependent on it that I don't use the phone much anymore. Feeling annoyed when I met someone who was not a "computer person" woke me up. This is nuts. Between email, texting, facebook, and whatever electronics we're all using to communicate, we're talking more than ever but are lonelier than ever. That human connection counts for more than you realize. Note to self: pick up the phone!

What others think about the book
A Patchwork of Comforts is a chance to resonate and explore the habits and traditions of soothing ourselves. Reading it was a breather, a reminder to take a breather. We learn how to prioritze and maneuver through life; comforting ourselves and others is essential." Bobbi Kidder, Grants Pass, OR - Executive Director of Southern Oregon Impact Theatre & Rogue Community College Instructor
